How do I place an order?
Orders for pickup and delivery are placed directly via our website! We request at least 48 hours' notice for orders baked to your specification. Orders must be placed by 5PM.
For large orders (more than 10 Cookie Kits, more than 100 cupcakes, etc), we require a bit more notice. (varies by product time and quantity).
I need something sooner than 48 hours; can you help me?
Maybe you forgot your partner's birthday, or you need a celebratory cake for your Zoom call.... Whatever the case, you need something today (or tomorrow) and it can't wait!!!
TIP: Our Chelsea bakery has the largest variety of in-stock inventory since everything is baked there and replenished throughout the day!

We take pride in our desserts. If you are unhappy with your purchase, immediately notify us (within 24 hours of delivery/pick-up) of your concern and return your dessert to us. Upon receipt, we will provide a credit for the amount returned. Apologies, but we are unable to offer credits for items consumed and/or not returned to the bakery (i.e you can't have your cake and eat it too).
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver throughout most areas of Manhattan ($29 purchase minimum). Deliveries outside of Manhattan are available; rates vary by zip code (see map for delivery areas).
What sort of decorations can I get on my cake?
Our cake decorators can create several common designs: polka dots, flowers, and stripes are our standard choices. If you’d like something specific, call the bakery—we may ask you to provide us with a picture of what you’d like to help make sure we create a cake that will meet your expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot offer exact color matching. Check out our Instagram for ideas!
Will my cake look exactly like the ones pictured on your website?
Since all of our cakes are baked, frosted and decorated by hand, each one is an individual creation and may not appear exactly as it does in our photos.
What is your inscription policy?
Inscriptions are a complimentary service. All inscriptions are hand-written with frosting. This allows for variation in size, style and penmanship. Please note that refunds/credits will NOT be issued for issues with inscriptions - including but not limited to missing inscriptions, misspellings, font size, shape, juxtaposition, etc.
In the event that we misspelled a name or any part of the personalized message, it is your responsibility to bring it to our attention for correction prior to leaving the bakery. We will make our best effort to correct with the colors that we have on-hand at the moment. If it is a delivery order, we apologize for the error, however we cannot dispatch a decorator to correct the inscription, nor can we send a replacement item.
Can I create my own cake that’s not currently on your menu?
Billy’s Bakery offers signature baked goods, which are listed on our menu. If you have a specific request, please call the bakery. Please note that we do not alter our recipes. Specialty cakes are sold as-is with no substitutions.
Do you have a minimum requirement for cupcake orders?
Certain specialty cupcakes, we require a one-dozen minimum. For most other cupcakes, we have no minimum. At least two dozen cupcakes are generally available on a walk-in basis without an order, but if you’d like to guarantee a specific kind of cupcake or frosting color, or if you plan on stopping in during one of our busiest times (weekends, particularly weekend evenings), it is always best to place an order.
Do you make tiered cakes?
We offer traditional tiered wedding cakes, sheet cakes for grooms, as well as wedding-appropriate cupcakes! Our website offers basic information on tiered cakes. further information or a wedding consultation, please email email@example.com.
