Billy’s in the Community

Billy's is first and foremost a neighborhood bakery, and it is important to us that we focus on developing a positive and active relationship with the communities in which we operate. We are especially proud to work with the local schools by providing baked goods for auctions and fundraisers, and we eagerly support community events such as the Tribeca Film Festival and City Harvest's Bid Against Hunger.

At Billy’s, we believe that we can most effectively support the community and do the most good by approaching charitable activities in two main ways. The first is through day-to-day activities where the bakery is willing to provide baked goods for causes it supports. This includes local schools and children’s organizations, as well as charities that our employees are passionate about (e.g. Do Something Organization, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation). The second through focusing on activities and events that Billy's can actively participate in.

We are enthusiastic about making a significant impact by teaming up with leading charities that have a history of making a difference. Last year, one of the many events that Billy's participated in was the Food Bank of NYC’s "NYC Goes Orange" Campaign, where we helped to reduce hunger by creating orange cupcakes and donating a percentage of the proceeds to the Food Bank. Billy's undertakes these endeavors to not only contribute to the community, but also to provide employees with an opportunity to see how their efforts can be used to serve a greater cause.
