General Information
Where are you located?
Our original store is located in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, at 184 Ninth Avenue (between 21st and 22nd Streets). Our second location is located in Tribeca, at 75 Franklin Street (between Broadway and Church streets).

What are your hours?
At our Chelsea location, we’re open from 8:30 AM – 11PM Monday-Thursday; 8:30 AM – Midnight on Friday and Saturday; and 9AM – 10PM on Sunday. Our hours for our Tribeca location are 7AM – 9PM Monday-Friday; 9AM – 9pm on Saturday; and 10AM – 5PM on Sunday.

Are you hiring?

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes! We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or issue refunds. However, we want all customers to be 100% satisfied with their Billy's Bakery experience. If for some reason you are unsatisfied, please contact the bakery within 24 hours of your purchase and we will do our best to address your concern.

I love your store design! What contractor did you use?
Both our Chelsea and Tribeca locations were designed by D. Mitchell Contracting (www.constructnewyork.com/).

 

Our Products
What do you use in your products?
We use only the freshest highest-quality ingredients in our baked goods, including real butter, whole eggs, and fresh fruit and nuts. We don’t use preservatives in any of our products.

Do you use nuts in your products?
Some of our products, like our carrot cake, pumpkin bars, and some of our breakfast loaves, do contain nuts. However, all our baked goods are baked in the same kitchen so may not be suitable for nut-allergic individuals.

Should I refrigerate my cupcakes?
No. Try to eat your cupcakes as soon as possible—they’ll taste freshest that way. In the event you can’t eat them all in one day, they keep best in an airtight container at room temperature. (Of course, our cheesecakes, icebox cakes, and cold pies should be refrigerated!)

What kind of coffee and tea do you sell?
For our coffee and espresso drinks, we use Jack’s organic, fair-trade, shade-grown coffee
(www.jacksstirbrew.com). We offer top-quality Harney & Sons hot teas.

What other beverages do you sell?
We offer all-natural Ronnybrook milks in convenient, individual grab-and-go bottles. We also sell Harney & Sons bottled iced teas, Orangina, and fresh-squeezed individual orange juices from Lambeth Groves.

Do you have any ready-made cakes?
We do try to maintain an inventory of 9-inch cakes in certain flavors for people who need a cake last-minute. However, we don’t guarantee availability, so call the bakery for what we have in stock.

 

Placing an Order
Do you deliver?
We do deliver. In Manhattan, the delivery charge is $20 for a three-hour delivery window (12PM-3PM or 4PM-7PM) or $30 for a two-hour window (any time). For areas outside Manhattan, call us for a quote.

How do I place an order?
Call the Billy's Bakery location nearest you to place an order with one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff members.

How much notice do I have to give for an advance order?
We request at least 24 hours’ notice for advance orders. If you need a cake within a 24-hour window, we may be able to accommodate you with a cake in stock.

What sort of decorations can I get on my cake?
Our cake decorators can create several common designs—polka dots, flowers, etc. If you’d like something specific, call the bakery—we may ask you to bring in a picture of what you want. Unfortunately, we don’t do photo cakes or color matching.

Will my cake look exactly like the one in the picture on your website?
Since all our cakes are frosted by hand, each one is an individual creation and may not appear exactly as it does in our example photos.

Can I create my own cake that’s not currently on your menu?
Billy’s Bakery offers signature Billy’s baked goods, which are listed on our menu. If you have a specific request, please call the bakery.

Do you have a minimum requirement for cupcake orders?
If you’d like to order our specialty cupcakes (coconut, German chocolate, cherry chocolate, or red velvet with whipped vanilla frosting), we require a one-dozen minimum. For all other cupcakes, we have no minimum. At least two dozen cupcakes are generally available on a walk-in basis without an order, but if you’d like to guarantee a specific kind of cupcake or frosting color, placing an order is always best.

Do you offer special packages for businesses, parties, or events?

Do you make wedding cakes?
We do not make traditional tiered wedding cakes, but our cakes have been used for weddings; our staff would be happy to assist you in selecting a wedding-appropriate cake design for your special day.  For couples looking for a whimsical alternative to the traditional cake, our cupcakes can be displayed in a decorative cupcake tier (available for rent for $25/day).

We currently have select baked goods and merchandise available for shipping… but we’re working on expanding our selection! Check back soon for updates.
